GOING GAGA AT THE IIDA FASHION SHOW
Once again it was time for the IIDA Fashion Show and Auction benefiting Make-A-Wish foundation. 2010’s theme was Old is New Again, with the designersgiven carte blanche on the theme’s interpretation. INTERPRISE’s approach involved repurposingmaterials from previous years’ costumes while pulling design inspiration from My Fair Lady (old) and LadyGaga (new) to create our theme: MyFair Lady Gaga. LEED-ING BY EXAMPLE. RED GOES GREEN. As we continue to make a concerted effort to reduce demolition waste during construction on behalf of our clients, we have recently furthered efforts to reduce our carbon footprint by joining both the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the North Texas Green Building Council, and employing three Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professionals. INTERPRISE is also specifying for our clients products that are safer for the environment and healthier for their employees. And in the spirit of practicing what we preach, we’re taking on daily initiatives in-house by using recycled paper, biodegradable, corn-based, utensils and cups, and earth-friendly, nontoxic cleaning products.
Developed by the USGBC, LEED provides a suite of standards for environmentally sustainable construction. Want to know more? Contact us, and we’ll share our personal experience in “green” design and tell you how you can catapult your business into the Green Revolution!
